Ingredients

Parmesan roasted frozen broccoli
  • 1 lb frozen broccoli florets thawed overnight and patted very dry
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp fine salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.33 cup finely grated Parmesan divided
  • 1 tsp lemon zest optional

Instructions

Roast the broccoli and finish with Parmesan
  1. Heat oven to 425°F (220°C) with a rimmed sheet pan inside. Drain thawed broccoli and pat very dry; excess water prevents browning.
  2. Carefully spread broccoli on the hot pan. Toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then roast 18–22 minutes, turning once, until edges brown.
  3. Sprinkle Parmesan over florets and roast 2–3 minutes more, just until the cheese melts. Finish with lemon zest and serve promptly.

Notes

Thaw and dry only when the package directions allow it; follow the label if it directs cooking from frozen. Crowded florets steam instead of roast; use two pans if needed. Nutrition and cost are estimates.
